Technical Innovations and Radiation Protection: ATSR Workshops 2021

CHAVANON Conseil was pleased to participate in the Workshops of the ATSR (Association for Techniques and Sciences of Radioprotection), organized from September 29 to October 1, 2021, on the Cadarache site, near Aix en Provence.

This edition, initially postponed due to the health crisis, was organized between the CEA of CADARACHE and the ITER site (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor).

It was thus able to highlight the technical evolutions of industrialists (Ventilation, PPE, detection systems, Mapping, software, ...) through numerous demonstrations but also the challenges of Radioprotection.

The General Directorate of Labor notably intervened on the role of OCRs (Competent Radiation Protection Organizations), the more field-oriented role of PCRs, and the increased level of responsibility of operators. Early 2022 will mark the end of the tolerance period due to the health crisis.

The challenges in radioprotection and the progress of the ITER project were also addressed during the conferences and on-site.

By participating in such events rich in exchanges and contacts, we also ensure our technological monitoring in order to provide you with a Radioprotection Advisory service adapted to your company.

CHAVANON Conseil has been an OCR (Competent Radiation Protection Organization) since June 2021. As a reminder, the deadline for obtaining this certification has been extended by 6 months, until 01/01/2022.

We can also couple this service with our missions as Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor for class 7 for road, rail, inland waterway but also air and sea transport.

We regularly provide securing training for radioactive materials.
